<p>In a circulating device for blending and homogenising layers of deposited and suspended matter in horizontal digestion chambers (1), a rotatably mounted shaft (2) is provided with box-type containers (3) which are open on one side disposed centrally with respect to its longitudinal axis. The shaft (2) is driven without mechanical transmission members, that is to say, solely by introducing at a certain point gas collected from the digestion chamber; the shaft (2) is rotated as a result of the displacement of the liquid in the box-like containers (3) by these rising gases in the direction of buoyancy. <IMAGE></p> |
