PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of piercing and to remove scraps automatically, by providing a scrap breaker having a projection protruded from the outer periphery of a locating pin between the locate pin and piercing punch. CONSTITUTION:A work 26 on which a locating hole d1 is pierced is set in a die 4, and an upper holder 7 is lowered with an upper die 20. A locating pin 23 fixed to a piercing punch fits to the locating hole d1, and the end face 21b of the piercing punch and the projection of a scrap breaker 24 are brought into contact with the work 26. When the piercing punch 21 pierces an axial hole d2 on the work 26, a part that stopped descent of the scrap breaker 24 is cut off from the work 26. Accordingly, the scrap breaker 24 is projected downward by a spring 25, and its projected part 24a strips and removes the scrap 27 adhered on the end face of the piercing punch. |
