PURPOSE:To remove play of a universal joint for absorbing a slippage of the core of a shaft by applying opposite bias forces between a joint member and an intermediate coupling member of the joint. CONSTITUTION:A pin 16 secured to the first joint member 15 is slidably fitted in holes 17, 18 of an intermediate coupling member 10. A pin 9 secured to the second joint member 8 is slidably fitted in holes 11, 12 of the intermediate coupling member 10. The pin 16 and the pin 9 are disposed in such a manner as to be at right angles to each other. A spring 26 is mounted between the first joint member 15 and the intermediate coupling member 10, and a spring 29 is disposed between the second joint member 8 and the intermediate coupling member 10 so as to apply bias forces to each other. |
