One or more steps (1, 2) are formed on a building component comprising two interconnected rods. The free ends of the rods have fixtures for releasable attachment to step pins on steps arranged in an inclined position. The one rod supports a plank, whilst the other acts as a support for the first, activating the step pins which are partly encased by a fixture. The second rod fixture comprises two encompassing components turned away from each other for supporting or suspending attachment to a step pin.
