PURPOSE:To set an exposure condition automatically, by providing a hole other than perforation on a reader part of a film, and giving information by a binary code. CONSTITUTION:On a reader part of a film 1 contained in a cartridge, there is provided with not only a perforation hole 2 for feeding a film but also a hole 3 for indicating ASA sensitivity. A position of the ASA sensitivity indicating hole 3 opposed to a position of the perforation hole 2 detected by photoelectric sensors 6, 7 are read by photoelectric sensors 4, 5. In accordance with ASA sensitivity information which is read as a binary code, an exposure controlling circuit of a camera is made to set sensitivity automatically. In case of a film such as an infrared film, to which sensitivity cannot be indicated uniformly, or a conventional film having no hole 3, its fact is informed to a user by raising an alarm, and he is urged to set sensitivity manually. |
