PURPOSE:An antiallergic effective for diseases such as bronchial asthma, etc. caused by histamine released by mastocyte, comprising a specific 2-(4-substituted butoxy) stilbene or its acid addition salt as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:An antiallergic effective for suppressing the granular removal of mastocyte caused by an antigen-antibody reaction and the release of a mediator, comprising a stilbene shown by the formulaI R<1> is H or halogen; R<2> is a group shown by the formula II n is 5 or 6; one CH2 among (CH2)2 may be replaced with CHOH or NR<3> (R<3> is 1-3C alkyl which may have OH or 2-3C acry) or a group shown by the formula III (m is 2-4) or its acid addition salt as an active ingredient. The compound is obtained by reacting a compound shown by the formula IV (X is halogen) with a compound shown by the formula RH, its daily dose is ordinarily 0.5-50mg/kg, usually 1-30mg/kg weight, and it is administered parenterally or orally. |
