PURPOSE:To prevent the lower end of a door from rusting due to the rain water, etc. and to improve the durability by connecting upper outer and inner panels and lower outer and inner panels respectively and by molding the lower outer and inner panels in one body. CONSTITUTION:The panel portion of a car door 2 is constituted with an upper outer panel 3, upper inner panel 4 and lower panel 5. The lower panel 5 is formed in one body with no joint section by press molding the lower outer section 6 and lower inner section 7 with a sheet of plate material. Individual panels 3-5 are formed separately and joined together. Flanges 8, 9 are formed respectively at the lower ends of the upper outer panel 3 and upper inner panel 4, and flanges 10, 11 are formed respectively at the upper ends of the lower outer section 6 and lower inner section 7, then these flanges 8, 10 and 9, 11 are overlapped together and spot welded (w) to form joint sections 12, 13. |
