PURPOSE:To obtain high horizontal, vertical and oblique resolution by appropriately arranging four photoelectric converters having different sensitive spectrum bands. CONSTITUTION:Two pairs of different color filters in which the sum of two colors respond to all visible areas and have the same spectral characteristics are used. The two pairs of color filters are constituted as the unit of four elements arranged as a group of four lines per horizontal row so that one element is put between each pair elements, and the four-element groups are repeatedly arranged in both horizontal and vertical directions. In the vertical direction, two element having one element of another pair between them are arranged as one of two kinds of combination. Signals are read out by interlacing and one field is read out in every other horizontal row. |
