PURPOSE:To improve control precision, by comparing outputs of plural elongation percentage arithmetic circuits with a set value and calculating the deviation in elongation percentage of a strip, and thus calculating the elongation percentage of, specially, a strip having long sample length speedily through simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:Four elongation percentage arithmetic circuits 22A-22D are connected in parallel and controlled by signals P1-P4 from clock circuits which are not shown in a figure; they start arithmetic operations corresponding to prescribed length obtained by dividing the strip passing length between two rolls, and count down and reset according to the prescribed strip passing length to repeat the arithmetic operations again. Those circuits have arithmetic periods shifted at a specific rate and are connected in common to a deviation arithmetic circuit 24 connected to an elongation percentage setting circuit 26. This deviation arithmetic circuit 24 is connected to a D/A converter 28. Respective detected pulses are operated at the period having the length obtained by dividing the prescribed strip passing length to calculate a elongation percentage. |
