PURPOSE:To enable the feeding and the screw-fitting of a bolt to be performed automatically and continuously by a method wherein in an automatic assembling machine, a rotary tool of a vertically movable plate guided by a stationary shaft and a rotary shaft are made to become engaged with, or disengaged from, a slide rod of a rotary plate rotatably by 180 degrees through the up and down movements of the vertically movable plate. CONSTITUTION:When a vertically movable plate 16 fitted about a stationary guide shaft 11 is lowered by a cylinder 14, a rotary plate 33 is also lowered through a rotary member 39 and a spring 45 and a part stop 60 stops as a result of its contact with an assembled part B. Upon further lowering of a plate 16, a rotary tool 25 and a slide rod 53 holding a bolt A, and a rotary shaft 21 and a slide rod 53 having magnet 59 at the top thereof, are brought into engagement with each other, respectively, by the rotation of a nut runner 26 and a rotary cylinder 18. Then the bolt A is screwed into the assembled part B by a rotary tool 29 while springs 24, 31 and 55 are compressed and a new bolt A is held in a hexagonal hole 58 drilled in the slide rod. Thus, when the above operation is completed and the plate 16 and the rotary plate 33 moves up to become disengaged from the related members, the rotary plate 33 is rotated by 180 degrees through a gear section 47 to thereby initiate the next operation. |
