PURPOSE:To prevent the edge of the kitchen knife from becoming distorted by a method wherein in case the kitchen knife is manufactured by rolling and punching a square metallic plate, one half of the plate is rolled so that the center of that half forms itself a thick conical section and the section is punched to make the cutting edges of the kitchen knives. CONSTITUTION:Blade punching sections (b) and (b) of a base plate material 1 are elongated by rolling with the exception of a grip insert punching section 1a at the upper part thereof and the resultant rolled plate 3 is further rolled to form a pair of regular triangular thick sections 2 in continuation with the grip insert punching section 1a and a central thick blade section (a) which becomes thin as they extend to the sections (b) and (b). Then the plate 3 is punched to produce a pair of right and left kitchen knife plates 4 such that the center of the plate 3 becomes the cutting edges (a) and (a), the lines of extension of the longer sides 2a of the regular triangular thick sections 2 become backs (b) and (b) and grip inserts (c) of two kitchen knives. |
