<p>The invention relates to a machine for machining the edge areas of plate-shaped workpieces of wood, pressboard, plastic or the like, with an elongated machine standard, which is designed in the form of a box structure of steel plates welded to one another and on the top side of which a number of machining units arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the machine standard are arranged, a conveyor fixedly connected to the machine standard and continuously moving the plate-shaped workpieces along the machining units, as well as a device for removing the chips and waste from the machining stations. In order to develop a machine of this type with the least possible technical outlay in such a way that the arrangement of the machining units in the area of the top side of the machine and the removal of the chips and waste from the the area of the machining stations is simplified, it is proposed according to the invention that the top side of the box-shaped machine standard (1) be of open design over the entire length of the machine, and that it be possible to displace and clamp the machining units in place on a guide running in the longitudinal direction of the machine standard and fixedly connected to the latter. <IMAGE></p> |
