PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity in the quantitative determination of a chemical light emitting substance and the quantitative determination of immune or enzyme based on the measurement of chemical light emission, by a method wherein a fluorescent substance is used in coexistent relation to the chemical light emitting substance during quantitative determination thereof and the detectable light emitting amount is increased. CONSTITUTION:20mul solution of 10<-7>M luminol in 10<-1>N NaOH is accommodated in an 1cm square quartz fluorescent cell while 100mul 50mMH2O2 aqueous solution and 1ml 10<-1>N NaOH solution of 1mM NaOCl are added thereto to emitt light which is in turn counted by a photocounter. In this case, 100mul aqueous solution containing 5X10<-2>g/l potassium fluoresceine is preliminarily added to the light emitting system. A number of counts for 10sec after said fluoresceine as a catalyst is injected is about 90,000 counts/10sec in the fluoresceine coexistent system compared to about 40,000 counts/10sec in a system to which distilled water is added and two times or more light emission can be measured. |
