PURPOSE:To convery and recover toner and foreign matter efficiently while fractionating the foreign matter in the toner recovered by a cleaning means by utilizing conveyance flumes. CONSTITUTION:Toner removed by a cleaning blade 2 from the surface of a photosensitive drum 1 is conveyed by a shield roll 3 and scraped completely by a blade 4 to enter a recovery path for the toner. In this path, the 1st conveyance flume 5 and the 2nd conveyance flume 6 are arranged respectively. The 1st conveyance flume 5 has its bottom surface consisting of meshes greater than the diameter of the toner and is oscillated in the axial direction of the photosensitive drum 1 by an exciting means to allow the toner to drop through the meshes, but foreign matter greater than the toner is left in the 1st conveyance flume 5 and conveyed in one direction by the exciting means to be collected in a foreign matter collection box 7. The 2nd conveyance flume 6 arranged under the 1st conveyance flume 5 receives the toner falling from the bottom part of the 1st conveyance flume 5 and the toner is conveyed in the opposite direction to the 1st conveyance flume 5 by another exciting means to be collected in a toner collection box 8. |
