PURPOSE:To improve recording quality, by considering difference between the time when a recording signal is imparted to the time when ink particles reach recording paper, storing the difference in a memory means or adjusting a volume, and selecting the particles which give the recording signal to an individual nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a basic clock 9 is sent to a vibration applying amplifier 10 and vibrates a vibrator 2. Then a plurality of jet streams are divided into lines of particles 3-1, 3-2... in synchronization with the basic clock. A signal from a recording signal generator 13 is temporarily stored in a print buffer 14, and thereafter sent to a delay circuit 11 in accordance with the signal from the basic pulse generator 9. The charging time for the individual jet stream is delayed in accordance with the data from a memory device 11 such as an ROM. The charging signals are sent to charging electrode 4-1, 4-2.... In this method, the recording distortion of the particles is within 1 dot with respect to a reference dot. The distortion between the particles, which are separated to the largest extent, is within one dot. |
