<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a sorter and to reduce the manufacturing cost of a sheet sorting device, by integrally incorporating a sheet feeder with a drive source for the positioning of sorting in a drive mechanism in the sheet sorting device. CONSTITUTION:Torque from a step motor M is transmitted to a drive roll 3 and a driven roll 11 for locating guide pieces 15, 16 in positions indicated by the solid lines when a clutch 4 is deenergized but a braking device 7 in energized. At this time, an advancing sheet P is bit into the rolls 3, 11, guided by the guide pieces 15, 16 and is stored in a tray 30a. Then, a drive gear 5 is connected to the motor M when the clutch 4 is energized and the braking device 7 is deenergized for discharging the sheet P into a tray 30b. A support plate 12 is rotated by a predetermined angle when a signal corresponding to the tray 30b is applied to the motor M, so that the front ends of the guide pieces 15, 16 are positioned, corresponding to the tray 30b. Thereafter, the roll 3 is driven for storing the sheet P into the tray 30b.</p> |
