PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of a bilge sucking-in operation, by a method wherein a valve is operated by a vertical movement of a float which is floated and sunk in accordance with the water level in a bilge tank, in a valve used in a discharge pipe for a bilge tank of a ship or the like. CONSTITUTION:The float 6 is float and sunk in accordance with the water level in the bilge tank, and the vertical movement of the float 6 is transmitted to a valve body 2 through a lever 5 and a valve rod 3, thereby operating the valve body 2 in accordance with the water level in the tank. In addition, a water level detector 7 capable of emitting a water level signal in response to the movement of the lever 5 is fitted to an outside surface of a valve casing 1. |
