PURPOSE:To improve the heat exchange efficiency and to miniaturize the titled device by a method wherein a plurality of thin plate elements each of whose plane sections is provided with a number of concave or convex sections arranged in a jigzag fashion are made to have flanges by bending the longer sides and the shorter sides of each of the plate elements in opposite directions and the plate elements are laid one above another alternately with the bending directions of the longer and shorter flanges of adjoining plate elements being reversed. CONSTITUTION:The plane sections of the thin plate elements 1 and 2 are press-molded such that at least the concave sections or convex sections 5 are formed finely in a jigzag fashion on those sections whereby flows of airs (a) and (b) are turbulated to accelerate heat exchange operations and to increase the area of the heat receiving surface. Now, assuming that (a) is a high temperature side high temperature and high humidity air flow and (b) is a low temperature side cooling air flow, the area of the heat receiving surface of the air flow (a) is equal to that of the air flow (b) and becomes larger than in the case of the conventional pipe system so that the dehumidifying amount is increased and the efficiency of the heat exchanger is improved. Further, the thin plate elements 1 and 2 can be assembled by laminating said plate elements in such a manner that the bent directions of flanges 3 and 4 of long sides and short sides of the rectangular plate elements are arranged opposite to each other, thereby facilitating the necessary processes. |
