PURPOSE:To reduce both the chip size and the power consumption, by providing a carrier generating circuit having a frequency which is (8) times as high as that of a recording color signal and at the same time by selecting the carrier frequency at a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:A carrier generating circuit has a frequency which is (8) times as high as that of a recording color signal. At the same time, the carrier frequency is set at a level which is 3m times (m: product of prime numbers <= a digit) as high as the horizontal scanning frequency fH. In other words, a frequency dividing circuit 9'' contains a 1/2 frequency dividing circuit 22 and a 1/4 frequency dividing circuit 23 and divides equivalently the output frequency of a voltage control oscillator (VCO) 10 down to 1/8. Furthermore a 1/125 frequency dividing circuit 25 consists of a 1/3 frequency dividing circuit 24 and 1/5 frequency dividing circuits 26-28. Then the oscillating frequency of an Xtal oscillator 7 is selected to a level equal to the frequency of a color signal. |
