The device comprises an intermediate body (1) fitted with two slideways crossed at 90 DEG (1a and 1b) on which there move, respectively, two slides (2 and 3) each carrying a journal (6), respectively (11), for connection with the upper (7) and lower (13) elements of the prosthesis respectively. The slideways allow translational movements in the frontal and sagittal planes, which allows linear anteroposterior and mediolateral movements, without the height of the prosthesis being changed. The journal (6) is jointed onto the slide (2) so as to be able to pivot in all azimuthal angles. The upper element (7) may furthermore revolve around the axis of the journal (6) on which it can be locked in position. <IMAGE>
