The invention relates to an ultrasonic applicator for biopsy purposes having an ultrasonic head which comprises a guiding recess, passing through the vibrator-carrier part, for a puncturing cannula. It is the object of the invention to construct an ultrasonic applicator in which the puncturing cannula can be inserted into an optimum depth of the test area.
