In an experiment light for scientific instruction which has a light source arranged in a housing, only one operating element is provided both for adjusting the light source and for focusing the light produced. Provided for this purpose is a first carriage (16) that can be displaced parallel to the optical axis (4) and a second carriage (25) which is arranged on said first carriage, can be displaced perpendicular thereto and for its part supports the light source (14). <IMAGE>
