The prestressing forces of a restoring spring (10) and an auxiliary spring (9) of the oscillating-armature pump keep in equilibrium an oscillating armature (1) which is in pressure contact with a piston (6). That point of the electromagnetic coil (21) at which the magnetic force generated is zero is at a distance lb from that point of the oscillating armature (1) at which the magnetic force is likewise zero. The distance between the upper end of a magnetic pole (4) and the lower end of the oscillating armature (1) is la. The ratio la/lb must be greater than 0.1 and less than 1. This arrangement makes it possible to keep the discharge pressure of the pump in a stable range even if the voltage varies. The oscillating-armature pump, while of simple construction, makes it possible to stabilise, without using additional components, the discharge pressure in the case of voltage fluctuations of the electrical supply. <IMAGE>
