It comprises a stack (1) of discs (2) each one having at least one cutout opening onto its periphery and a clamping device comprising a plate (8, 8') at each end of the stack of discs, these plates being secured in the service position to means (5) for rotationally driving the tool, and one of these plates (8') being capable of moving axially with respect to the other plate (8) in order to compress the stack. The angular position of the discs with respect to each other is such that, in the service position, the cutouts form peripheral longitudinal housings in which cutters (13) are fastened, the cutting edge (14) of which cutters is located on a diameter which is greater than the outer diameter of the discs. This tool may be used particularly as a wood plane. <IMAGE>
