The device has a multiplicity of capillary pieces (1), which are combined to form a bundle, are juxtaposed and each have two open end faces. The capillary pieces (1) of the bundle are laid virtually one against another in the two end-face zones of the bundle, whereas in the region located between these two end-face zones they are arranged extending at a spacing relative to one another. The ends of the capillary pieces (1) each dip into a distributor container (10a, 10b) in each of the two end-face zones of the bundle. The capillary pieces (1) form between the two distributor containers (10a, 10b) loops which lead upwards and represent independent siphoning installations.
