The invention relates to a window having a window frame made up of bar-like elementary parts, and a window casement, one of these two main structural parts being provided with a closing shell, the other with a closing device, the shell and device interacting with each other. The essence of the invention is that the elementary parts of the frame and of the casement are designed to match and are made with undiminished cross-section as well as being provided with rebates for receiving the frame insert and the casement insert, frame insert and casement insert being accompanied one by a closing shell, the other by a closing latch interacting with the latter.
