PURPOSE:To miniaturize a diameter of the titled device and simplify its construction, by a method wherein a spring giving a bounce in an axial direction to a collet holder shank is provided on a tool holder which is further provided with a quick change structure and a backlash absorbing structure. CONSTITUTION:A collet 27 is inserted into a taper hole to secure a thread cutting tool, such as a tap, which is bored inward from an end 22b of a collet holder 22 and its diameter becomes smaller in proportion to its depth from the end 22b. The exterior of the collet 27 is formed into a taper form so as to fit in with the taper hole and a slit groove 27a is provided in an axial direction for obtaining a bouncing capacity. Then, a backlash in a compression direction can be absorbed due to a fact that an annular spring is compressed against a holder shank 21 by the collet holder 22 and a nut 23 when force is applied in the compression direction at the time of tapping processing. With this constitution, a diameter of the titled device is miniaturized and its construction can be simplified. |
