发明名称 MANUFACTURING METHOD OF DISCHARGE LAMP
摘要 PURPOSE:To remove the intrusion of glass frit into a discharge path and prevent the failure of the external view of a lamp, the deterioration of its luminous flux, and the generation of leakage by sealing up the aperture section of a luminous enclosure. CONSTITUTION:A luminous enclosure consists of its outer body 1 with a spherical or cylindrical curved surface and its inner body 2 that overlaps the inner surface of outer body 1 of the enclosure. The inner body 2 of the enclosure has a groove 3 that forms a discharge path. An electrode 4 is retained on both ends of the discharge path 3 by a support conductor 5 and is electrically connected to an external conductor 6. An exhaust pipe 7 is arranged in a groove 8 for sealing the exhaust pipe that is provided at the aperture section of the inner body 2 of the enclosure. A protrusion section 9 is provided at both aperture sections of the outer and inner bodies 1 and 2 and its depth has a gap acting as an entrance that appears when the outer and inner bodies 1 and 2 of the enclosure overlap each other. This gap is also connected to the discharge path 3. The entrance is blocked by glass wool 10 and is filled with glass frit 11. Then the aperture section of the luminous enclosure is sealed by externally heating the luminous enclosure and melting the glass frit 11.
