PURPOSE:To shorten the data transfer period between a data buffer and an external memory or a host computer, etc., by providing a signal route through which the address of the data buffer can be applied from inside and outside of a controller. CONSTITUTION:It is possible to preset a binary counter 111 which gives the address of a data buffer BUF110 from an external data bus 105 via a signal route 202. When a microcomputer MPU101 applies an address to the BUF110, a command is given to a disk controller DC103. Then an input/output control circuit IOPU108 uses one of control signals 203 to set the counter 111 in a presettable state. Then the MPU101 sets the address of the BUF110 to the counter 111 through the bus 105. |
