PURPOSE:To prevent a winding paper from slipping over a roller surface and to enable reliable feeding of the paper, by a method wherein a longitudinal carrying roller and a return roller consist of given reference rollers, elastic rollers therebetween and press rollers making contact therewith. CONSTITUTION:In a printer in which, through pulling back by a given distance of a winding paper according to a command from a controller, a vertical and a lateral composition and a plurality of columns are capable of being printed on the same page, a longitudinal carrying roller 12 and a return roller 40 consist of a pair of reference rollers 16, 17 and 44, 45 having a diameter being set to a peripheral length of a good finishing numeral, for example, 60mm., elastic rollers 18, 46 having a diameter slightly larger than that of the reference rollers, and press rollers 33, 52 making contact therewith. Through carrying and pulling back of a paper positioned between the nip formed by the elastic rollers 18, 48 and the press rollers 33, 52, a slipping is prevented from occurring, and a paper carrying and a pulling back distance of the paper are regulated by the reference rollers 16, 17 and 44, 45 located across the elastic rollers 33, 52. This enables to perform a reliable carrying of the paper. |
