PURPOSE:To obtain the titled printer, which can perform printing by a hammer itself in addition to the printing by a type body, by the constitution wherein a character or a symbol is formed on the tip of the hammer, and a concave part corresponding to the character or the symbol at the hammer tip is provided on the back surface of the type body, to which the hammer tip is contacted. CONSTITUTION:The character or symbol 2, which has a simple form and is frequently used and liable to be damaged, is provided at the tip of the hammer 1. The concave part 5 corresponding to the character or the symbol at the hammer tip is formed on the back surface of the type body 3 to which the hammer tip is contacted. When the printing is performed by the hammer itself, the tip of the hammer 1 passes a void part 7 formed in the line of the type bodies 3 and reaches a platen through an ink ribbon. |
