CONSTITUTION:A tomato material is fed, stored in the storage tank 2, the liquid is sent through a transporting pipe by a pump, an acid solution is added from the tank 3 to the pipe, the solution is adjusted to a proper pH, and, if necessary, other additive is fed from the tank 4 to it. They are blended by the mixer 5, preheated by the heat exchanger 6, and heated by superheated steam fed by the steam feeder 7. The heated material is jetted to the tank 9 in a low-pressure atmosphere, water in an amount corresponding to the steam amount is evaporated, and simultaneously the temperature of the product is lowered approximately to the preheating temperature.
