<p>Method of delivering from a liquid sample, very small doses, is described, using a device comprising a container including a storage receptacle for the sample connected by a capillary feed pipe to a first cell or preliminary chamber, itself connected to a calibrated cell by a capillary feed tube, communicating on the one hand with the receptacle via an overflow capillary and on the other hand to the exterior medium via an evacuation tube. The preliminary chamber has a volume slightly larger than that of the calibrated cell. A device is provided for positioning the appts. on the plate of a centrifuge in two predetermined positions which can be deduced from rotation of the appts. in the plane of the centrifuge through a given angle. Appts. is used for delivery of quantities of the order of 10 microlitres, for analyses, esp. for medical analysis, e.q. of blood samples. Samples constituting a mere fraction of a drop of blood taken from the end of a patients finger may be sepd. from the drop, increasing the number of tests possible and permitting removal from the patient of much smaller quantities for test than in prior art.</p> |
