<p>The device has a transversally magnetised magnetic registration support (2) carrying magnetic damains (4) representing latent magnetic images. The images are revealed by means of a device (10) for application of magnetically attractive particles which form deposits (11) on the registration support. A device (37) for straightening the lines of force (20) associated with the magnetic domains during the application of the particles improves the deposits. It consists of a piece of soft ferromagnetic material having one face (38) opposite the surface (5) of the registration support and opposite the zone (41) where the particles are applied. The line of force straightening piece also acts, therefore, as a deflector for the particles. The face (38) has a width (D2) two and a half to five times that of the magnetic domains (D1). The face is situated at a distance (D3) from the surface of the registration support of the same order of size as the domains.</p> |
