PURPOSE:To control the amount of fuel consumption of a diesel engine in the most suitable manner by a method wherein the time of starting the injection of a fuel and the time of opening an oil pressure control and exhaust valve are recontrolled on the basis of the amount of fuel consumption measured for every season. CONSTITUTION:An operation processor 30 determines the optimum time of starting the injection of the fuel and the time of opening the exhaust valve. An input circuit 37 transfers the output signals of various kinds of sensors including those for detecting the internal pressure of the cylinder and the like, to the operation processor 30. An injection time control actuator 44 controls the time of starting the injection of the fuel by varying the volume of stroke of the piston in the auxiliary cylinder. Further, an actuator 47 for controlling the time of opening the valve controls the opening time of the valve based upon the volume of stroke of the piston in the auxiliary cylinder. Thus, it is possible to control the amount of fuel consumption quickly and accurately so that the amount of fuel consumption is kept minimum according to the operation condition of the diesel engine. |
