PURPOSE:To enhance color forming characteristics and preservation stability of a heat-sensitive recording paper, by incorporating tribenzylamine into a recording layer as a color forming accelerator, in a heat-sensitive recording paper comprising as main constituents a leuco compound and an organic acid capable of developing the color of the leuco compound by reacting with the latter. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer comprises as main constituents a leuco compound and an organic acid (e.g., a phenolic substance, a fatty acid) capable of developing the color of the leuco compound by reacting with the latter, and optionally comprises a binder such as PVA, a white pigment such as calcium carbonate or talc or the like. Into the recording layer, tribenzylamine is incorporated as a color forming accelerator preferably in an amount of 1-30wt% (based on the total weight of solids in the recording layer). |
