The game is for a plurality of people. It comprises a two-dimensional playing surface on which particular areas, the "playing areas", are marked (e.g. triangles, quadrilaterals, circles, polygons). It should be noted here that a plurality of playing areas must be present and that the shape of the individual playing areas can be different. Associated with the playing areas are "shaped parts" (e.g. triangles, quadrilaterals, circles, polygons) which are laid by the players on the playing area. The shaped parts are so designed that each shaped part fits, in terms of its size, on the playing areas but covers only a certain proportion of the latter. The shaped parts of the individual players must not differ in their respective sizes but must be differently marked (e.g. by colouring or hatching). To solve the problem, the outline of a playing surface is produced by drawing. A certain number of playing areas are denoted on the playing surface. By dividing a playing area into sub-areas of various sizes, shaped parts are defined which can then each cover a part of the playing area. By dividing all the playing areas as desired, the number of shaped parts is defined so that, at the end of the game, all the playing areas can be completely covered. In order to distribute the shaped parts in their respective sizes according to the number of players, the shaped parts determined on all playing areas are differently marked. <IMAGE>
