Devices for producing a spray jet generally have a nozzle head with a nozzle section and an inlet section connected upstream of the latter in the flow direction, via which section there is a connection to a feeder unit for the spraying agent. The equaliser which is connected upstream of the nozzle section, and which has at least one guide surface running parallel to the flow direction of the spraying agent, is held, in the known devices, outside the nozzle head at a relatively large distance from the nozzle section. In order to produce a more uniform and compact spray jet which atomizes to a smaller degree, the equaliser (7) is arranged in the inlet section (5). The resulting direct assignment of the equaliser to the nozzle section can be effected in particular by virtue of the fact that the outlet cross-section (7') of the equaliser (7) is at most at a distance (A) from the inlet cross-section (6') of the nozzle section (6) which is equal to 50% of its diameter (D). <IMAGE>
