The invention relates to a watch casing for a waterproof watch which has a casing body (1) that consists of metal and whose display opening (2) is sealed in a waterproof fashion by a soldered-in watch glass (3). The base opening (4) of the casing body (1) can be sealed by a casing base (5), a sealing element made from metal being arranged under pretension between the casing body (1) and the casing base (5). The construction of the casing body (1) and casing base (5) from a light metal leads, in conjunction with the space-saving seals of the display opening (2) and the base opening (4), to a watch casing of low weight and simultaneously high sealing of the casing interior with respect to the medium surrounding it. <IMAGE>
