<p>PURPOSE:To perform directly an infrared analysis of a sample in a vessel, by sealing up a window opened to the wall face of the vessel by an infrared rays transmitting plate-like crystal body. CONSTITUTION:Infrared rays L emitted from an infrared spectrometer 9 are made incident to a tip face 7 of a plate-like crystal body 3 at a right angle. Hereafter, said rays L are advanced in a direction of a tip face 8 facing each other by repeating reflection between the upper and lower faces of the crystal body as shown in the figure and are emitted from the face 8. The emitted rays are introduced to the infrared spectrometer 9 to be subjected to the infrared analysis after reflected by a mirror 10. In this manner, the rays L which advance in the plate-like crystal by repeating reflection are absorbed by a sample at the time of reflecting such a face where one side face of the plate-like crystal body is brought into contact with the sample in the vessel directly. The absorption quantity of the infrared rays is varied by the composition of the sample and accordingly, an infrared absorption spectrum in accordance with the composition of the sample is obtained by analyzing infrared rays L' in the spectrometer 9.</p> |
