NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formulaI(R is H or acryl). EXAMPLE:A compound AIL shown by the formula II. USE:An antibacterial agent and an antitumor agent. PROCESS:For example, a strain e.g., Y-32026 strain (FERM-P 6313) belonging to the genus Streptomyces, capable of producing a compound AIL shown by the formula II, is cultivated, and a compound shown by the formula II is collected and prepared from the culture solution. The cultivation is preferably carried out at 27-30 deg.C at 6-8pH under aeration for 1-4 days. When the prepared compound AIL is treated with acetic anhydride in pyridine, a compound AIL diacetate wherein R is acetyl in the formulaIis obtained. |
