发明名称 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING DISTANCE BETWEEN INTERFACES
摘要 PURPOSE:To make the detection of interfaces and the measurement of the settling speed more accurate and easier while simplifying the mechanism in an industrial inspection by a method wherein optical signals are detected by an interface reflection of a light flux when being scanned along a measuring tube to calculate the interval of signals. CONSTITUTION:A measuring tube 1 into which a liquid 2 to be inspected is set vertical to a base 3 and a cap 51 incorporating a photo detector 5 is placed at the upper end of the tube 1. When a pulse motor 44 of an irradiation device 4 is put into operation with a microcomputer 8, a mobile mirror 43 moves downward from the upper limit position while a light flux 41 from the light source 42 is scanned from the top to the bottom of the measuring tube 1. When the microcomputer 8 determines that an output signal from a photo detector 5 indicates the signal Q corresponding to the peak P of the liquid level, it 8 calculates the movement of the light flux 41 to the position where the signal Q is inputted to memory from the member of drive pusles of the motor 44 to the time of the determination from the upper limit position T. The mirror 43 reverses at the lower limit position B and returns to the upper limit position T to complete one scanning process.
