PURPOSE:To prevent the damage and layer shortcircuit of coil end by winding an adhesive tape on several positions of the coil end and then pressing and expanding from the interior the coil end, thereby effectively expanding and shaping the coil end. CONSTITUTION:A stator coil 2 is engaged and contained through a slot insulator 3, and formed at both axial ends of coil ends 2a, 2b. Adhesive tape 4 is wound at an equal interval at several positions of the coil end 2a, and similar adhesive tape 5 is wound at several positions of the coil end 2b which can readily produce spring backs in height. This semi-product A is mounted on a shaping unit to press the coil end 2b from above inwardly to expand it. In this manner, the coil end can be effectively expanded and shaped, thereby preventing the damage and layer shortcircuit of the coil end. |
