PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a cooler and to reduce external influence, by coupling an equipment which operates in a cryogenic temperature range with an external equipment through an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:In the cooler 1 which contains a cooling medium 2, an electronic eqipment 3 consisting of, for example, a Josephson element is installed. The equipment 3 is connected to the 2nd photoelectric converter 6 installed outside through the 1st photoelectric converter 5 in the cooler 1 and the optical fiber 7 and further connected to various external equipments E1-En through wirings L1-Ln. Signal lines connecting the equipment in the cooler 1 to the external equipments use only optical fibers 7 whose thermal conductivity is low, so thermal leakage from the cooler 1 is reduced to improve the cooling effect of the cooler 1. |
