PURPOSE:To decide on economical ground station facilities according to the traffic intensity of the facilities by providing a satellite repeater with a communication speed converting means, and allotting difference communication speeds to antenna beams. CONSTITUTION:The repeating connection device R of a communication satellite S employs a satellite switch TDMA communication system to perform communication control among the antenna beams A-C. To those antenna beams A-C, communication speeds corresponding to the traffic intensity values of earth stations E1-E6 in those beams are allotted. The repeating connection device R after demodulating received signals AR-CR from the respective beams performs speed conversion and a switch performs switching so that the resulting signals are sent out from corresponding beams; after conversion to the speeds allotted to the beams, modulation is performed and the signals are sent out to the earth stations through the beams A-C. |
