PURPOSE:To prevent an overspeed or the like at disconnection of torque transmission and correctly stop an output shaft, by providing both a brake function in addition to a function as the electromagnetic spring clutch and a function preventing a kick back, that is, reverse revolution an accordance with a rapid brake. CONSTITUTION:An output boss 2 is fixedly fitted to an output shaft 1 while an input hub 3 is idly fitted and the shaft 1 is idly inserted into a center hole 8 of an internal pole 7 of a field core 6. Further an armature 18 is longitudinally movably supported in the axial direction to an external pole 9 of the core 6 through a bush 15, and a sleeve 22 is externally fitted to the boss 2 through an annular air gap S in the right side of said armature 18. One end of a clutch spring 23 is hooked to the boss 2 and the other end is hooked to said sleeve 22 while one end of a brake spring 29 tightly windable to the boss 2 is hooked to the sleeve 22. Further a reverse rotation preventive spring 30 is interposed throughout between each annular part 7B, 32 of the pole 7 and the boss 2. |
