The invention relates to a device for motorised film transport in photographic cameras by in each case one frame length. The aim and object of the invention is to improve such motorised cocking devices so that any type of possible cases of damage entail no disadvantageous consequences to the film, cocking mechanism, motor and operating voltage source with an outlay that is reduced by comparison with known devices. In accordance with the invention, the motor output to the mechanism connected to the camera, or to the camera is interrupted depending on the particular case of damage - end of film, perforation tear and damage to the mechanism, on the one hand, and excessively slow film transport or film tear, on the other hand - by means of an overload coupling without an electrical switching function and/or by means of an electronic time switch.
