Tube for underwater pouring of concrete - has buoyancy body at lower end floating on concrete layer being deposited

The arrangement is intended for pouring concrete or the like below the water surface. It comprises a hopper (1) above water level with a downward pouring tube (3) whose lower end is provided with a buoyancy member (4) which floats on the layer of concrete as this is deposited. This member may consist of an annular disc (5) extending outwards from the lower rim of the tube (3) and provided with an upward rim flange (6). The tube (3) may be telescopic whilst its lower part is connected with lifting gear, e.g. winch cables passing around pulleys carried on the lower portion of the tube.
