PURPOSE:To make a temperature change gradient of a magnetic medium steep, and to obtain an effect for improving the same high frequency recording and recording density as increasing a moving speed of the medium, by constituting so that a laser beam for irradiating the magnetic medium becomes intermittent. CONSTITUTION:To a running magnetic tape 1, a signal of a signal source 6 is recorded from a magnetic head 2. A laser driving circuit 5 generates a pulse in accordance with an output of the signal source 6, and makes an output of a laser 4 intermittent. The circuit 5 functions so as to irradiate the laser when the pulse exists, in accordance with a digital signal. In case when there is a delay by the circuit 5 and the laser 4, a delay 7 compensates it and irradiates the laser simultaneously with a digital pulse. |
