PURPOSE:To improve workability and to reduce the number of parts by forming plugs continuously from a metallic strip by blanking and staking only. CONSTITUTION:Patterns of plugs 8 are blanked continuously from a metallic strip, for example, an extremely thin tinned brass strip. Patterns over the entire part of the plugs including not only fine hole parts but also spring pieces 11 and annular staking parts 10 are obtained simultaneously by lancing, blanking, staking, etc. Such patterns are formed with plug bodies, spring pieces, staking parts 10, etc. in the next staking stage, and optical fiber cores 2 are inserted and positioned continuously and automatically in the plugs with an automatic optical fiber inserting machine. In succession, the parts 10 of the plugs are staked and mounted on optical fibers 1. Workability is thus improved and the number of part is reduced. |
